Mrs. Anjali Thampi began her journey in Bharatanatyam at the tender age of six under the tutelage of Guru Dr. G. Ratheesh Babu, whose guidance shaped her early foundation in the art form. Over the past twenty years, she has immersed herself deeply in classical dance, nurturing both discipline and devotion.
She completed her Diploma in Bharatanatyam from Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh, further strengthening her academic and artistic grounding. Throughout her training, Anjali has showcased her talent across India, performing at numerous competitions, cultural festivals, and classical dance platforms.
In addition to Bharatanatyam, she is trained in Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam, expanding her repertoire and artistic versatility. Her contributions to Indian classical dance have been recognized with two esteemed titles — Nritha Vilasini and Nrithanrithyashree.
After moving to Switzerland, Anjali continues to pursue her artistic path alongside her professional career as a consultant. She has presented her work at Fest der Nation Baden and at various festivals in Geneva and Zurich, sharing the elegance and depth of Indian classical dance with diverse audiences.
Anjali aspires to further her artistic journey in Switzerland, fostering meaningful collaborations and contributing to the growing classical arts community in the region.
